Understanding God’s Love 2

In our episode one on understanding God’s love, we saw that it’s not possible for the human mind to grasp the love of God. For His love can only be understood by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, Who indwells our innermost being.

Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 3:17-19, shows us the importance of coming to know, by the Spirit, the fathomless love of God. He tells us that by the revelation of the Spirit, we can come to know the height, the breadth, the length and the depth of the love of Christ.

Understanding God’s Love 1

God’s love is a spiritual reality.
It’s a fact. His love can be perceived, felt, seen and even understood. However, it’s well beyond the human mind to grasp. It’s a spiritual fact, hence, God’s love can only be discerned or understood through the revelation of the Holy Spirit to your human heart.
What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.”
(1Corinthians 2:12, NIV)

God Qualifies Us

Yesterday was such a memorable day for my pupils. I watched them go through the trills of the first graduation ceremony of the school, with such passion, joy and energy. The debate, drama, news casting, poems…were breathtaking. The shock on the faces of the parents really, really made my day. It spoke volumes. Satisfaction. Appreciation. Surprise. You could tell that most parents present couldn’t believe their children could do the things they saw them do. Oh, how I enjoyed those surprised looks!

I Pledge My Love

I pledge My love,
To love you forever,
To love you to the very end,
To love you in time and eternity,
To love you unconditionally,
To love you unreservedly,
To love you with all that I Am and all that I have.

I pledge My love,
To never fail you,
To never give you up,
To never give up on you,
To never leave you,
To never relax My hold on you,
To never forget you,
To never let you down,
To never abandon you,
To love you with all that I Am and all that I have.

Redeemed For Love

We are God’s masterpiece!
He created us in His very own image and likeness. And when man lost his place to sin, when he was separated from his Maker by his act of disobedience, God stepped in again. He laid down His life for man. He gave His life to free us from a very kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His own children. He did this for every man and woman and child. He died for YOU; He died for ME. “Why would God invest so much in me?”, you may be wondering.

God Won’t Let You Down

God is love
(1John 4:8). And God is faithful.

Have you ever been tempted to do what’s wrong or what violates your values? I have been there. And I can assure you that you will never get to a place in your life where you won’t be tempted any more. Talk about the zenith of maturity and spirituality, that’s Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. He was without sin, and in Him was no sin. Yet He was tempted of the devil. Temptation isn’t a sign of weakness. Rather, it means that devil hates you and is afraid of your spiritual progress and growth.
Temptation isn’t sin.

LOVE IS FAITHFUL

Words are so beautiful. I have always loved how we can piece together letters, to paint graphic pictures of people,  or circumstances.

Today, we will look at the adjective “faithful”, to describe the Person of God.

To be faithful means to be reliable, loyal, worthy of trust, etc.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that “God is FAITHFUL” Continue reading “LOVE IS FAITHFUL”

The Radical Gift Of Love

There is a story of a man who went fishing with his son and his son’s friend. And while in the middle of the river, the little boat capsized. The man could swim, but his son and the friend could not. And there was only one lifejacket for the two of them. The father had a choice to make; to either give the lifejacket to his son and lose the friend or give it to the friend and lose the son.

The Maestro

I have read the story of the master artist, Michael Angelo, who would take a seemingly useless marble and turn it into a masterpiece. To Michael, no piece of marble was useless or worthless. One day someone saw Angelo, circling a piece of marble, over and over, with his eyes firmly fixed on it. And he asked him what he was doing, and Angelo said, “There is an Angel trapped in there, and I need to set him free.” Continue reading “The Maestro”
