I have read the story of the master artist, Michael Angelo, who would take a seemingly useless marble and turn it into a masterpiece. To Michael, no piece of marble was useless or worthless. One day someone saw Angelo, circling a piece of marble, over and over, with his eyes firmly fixed on it. And he asked him what he was doing, and Angelo said, “There is an Angel trapped in there, and I need to set him free.”
God never created junk. He created you in His own image and likeness. You’re a reflection of His glory. You’re beautiful and adorable. Situations may have affected you adversely, but that’s not all there is to you. Your life may not look so beautiful right now, for whatever reasons, but you’re not useless. Your life isn’t worthless. God has use for you! And if you will only turn over your life to Him, like Michael Angelo, God will bring out that Angel that’s been trapped inside you. He will chip away at everything that’s not the real you. He will take away the props. He will cause His beauty, His unique glory that’s locked up within you to be seen in and on you. He will mould you into whom He had ordained you to be. That’s a life shaped along the same lines as His Son Jesus!
The Bible says, “God is love.” (1John 4:8). And He is the Master Builder. The Maestro. What do you expect when the One Who Himself is love, builds you? Yours will be a life ravished with the perfect, unstained and unconditional love of God. He will soothe your brokenness with His comfort. He will heal every hurt and pain in your heart until you become whole again. Will you let Love build you into His masterpiece today?
His love is not conditional. He loved you even before you were conceived in your mother’s womb. You didn’t do anything to make Him love you. And there is nothing you can do to make Him stop loving you. He has loved you with a love that never fails. A love that never ends. Nothing can separate you from God’s love. His love for you is undying. And the most striking thing is, God wants to be your Friend! He wants to share His love, and joy and Life with you. He wants to love you the way no one else can. For you’re precious to Him. He wants to come into your heart and be your Comforter and Companion and Guide throughout this life’s voyage.
The question is, will you let Him come in? Will you let Him be your Friend? You can talk to Him right now and tell Him to come into your heart and be your Friend, Saviour and Lord. And that’s just it! For you’re not safe until you’re saved by His love. Believing His love for you is the beginning of your life. And resting in His love is the only sure security. He is waiting for you!
