Words are so beautiful. I have always loved how we can piece together letters, to paint graphic pictures of people, or circumstances.
Today, we will look at the adjective “faithful”, to describe the Person of God.
To be faithful means to be reliable, loyal, worthy of trust, etc.
The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that “God is FAITHFUL”
And in 1John4:8 we are told that “God is love.”
This means that love is a person. And that Person is God. So we can safely read, “Love is faithful.” That is, Love is reliable. Love is worthy of your trust. For God is a loyal Lover.
He’s committed to loving you to the very end:
“…Jesus… having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” (John 13:1).
And because He’s faithful, He’s true to His Word. And His Word says “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
That’s something to hold unto, especially when life gets turbulent. He has never ever abandoned His own.
Hebrews 13:5b beautifully expresses this fact:
“…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] (AMP)
What a commitment!
What a promise!
What a faithful Lover!
It’s my prayer that you will always remember that God, your true Love, is ever faithful. You can rely or lean on Him. You can go to bed and sleep soundly, knowing that He is watching over you. And will not allow you to be hurt.
Have a blessed day!
