We are God’s masterpiece!
He created us in His very own image and likeness. And when man lost his place to sin, when he was separated from his Maker by his act of disobedience, God stepped in again. He laid down His life for man. He gave His life to free us from a very kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His own children. He did this for every man and woman and child. He died for YOU; He died for ME. “Why would God invest so much in me?”, you may be wondering.
The answer lies in Titus 2:14 –
“Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds.” (AMP)
We were redeemed for love. Christ saved us, that He might make us conduits of His unconditional love and grace to all people.
We were created to be showcases through which God’s perfect love, goodness and kindness will be reflected to the whole world. We were saved that we might give ourselves to doing good deeds. And through this, help people see God the way He really is.
This is our purpose. And herein lies the secret of true joy, happiness and fulfilment.
It’s my prayer that you will live a life that shows deep gratitude for God’s great investment in you by reaching out to others in reckless acts of love.
