Unforgiveness Is A Killer

Medical reports have shown that most human ailments are stress-related or stress-induced. And that unforgiveness, hurt, offense or bitterness create a lot of stress in the mind and body, which may trigger heart-related conditions, ulcers, high blood pressure, chest pain, headaches, etc
The reports also show that forgiveness decreases stress levels and promote health.
The Bible gives credence to these facts:
“A sound mind makes for a robust body, but runaway emotions corrode the bones.”
(Proverbs 14:30, MSG)
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.”
(Proverbs 17:22,NLT)

The answer to unforgiveness, hurt, bitterness and the pain of offense is, FORGIVENESS.

Forgiveness is a gift of mercy you extend to an undeserving person. When you choose to forgive, you’re making a conscious decision to let go of negative feelings of hurt, resentment, bitterness and anger against the person who has wronged you. It’s also a decision to free your mind from the prison of offense. To forgive is to choose healing – emotional and physical – and wholeness.
Someone describes unforgiveness as putting someone behind iron bars. And that someone turns out to be you. To forgive is to choose peace of mind over emotional unrest.
Unforgiveness is a costly choice you make. A choice to keep hurting over and again. A choice to have poisoned blood. A choice to be unhappy.
A choice to let someone else control your feelings.
That’s too costly a choice to make!
In real sense, forgiveness is not what you do for another. No!
It’s what you do for yourself. When you forgive, you’re doing yourself a huge favor. Those who let go offenses, love themselves!
Get that poison out of your mind and body, and receive your healing and wholeness!
It all starts with a decision A will to let go. If you are only willing, God will make available the strength to carry through. The decision is yours to make!

  1. Wow! I am blessed. Forgiveness is a gift I give to myself. I refuse to allow Someone else control my emotions. I chose to free myself and live in heath.
